Emergency-Foster Call-Out
Companion Animal Alliance will be without power due to a scheduled electrical outage on the LSU campus on December 26 and 27. The shelter will not have power for 36 hours over these three days. We need to get as many animals out of the shelter as possible during this time. To do so, we are asking members of the Baton Rouge community to temporarily emergency-foster these animals for the duration of this outage.
Emergency fosters can take an animal into their care as early as December 19 or as late as December 23. CAA will be closed on Christmas Day and the 2 days following (Dec. 26-27) due to the scheduled power outage. Emergency fosters must keep the animal in their care December 25-28 and schedule an appointment below to return the animal once the power is restored. There are no requirements to be completed prior to choosing an emergency-foster animal. Emergency fosters must be over 18 and provide valid proof of identification.
