Pet Food Pantry
As part of our mission to reduce the number of animals entering shelters by providing resources to owners, we do our best to eliminate as many barriers to pet ownership as possible. Our Pets for Life program offers a monthly drive-thru pet food pantry for pet owners living in the underserved communities in Baton Rouge. In order to receive pet food, you MUST remain in the line in your vehicle—no walk ups will be served. The pet food pantry takes place on the fourth Wednesday of every month, at the Charles R. Kelly Community Center located at 3535 Riley St. Baton Rouge LA 70805 (unless otherwise advertised). If you are in need of assistance with providing food for your pets, please complete the following form below.
Please note, we cannot accommodate specific brands or formulas of pet food; each pet owner will receive a limit of 2 bags of food per cat and dog (small animal and livestock food may be provided depending on availability).
Companion Animal Alliance is excited to announce our new partnership with the Charles R. Kelly Community Center for monthly pet food giveaways open to all members of the public on the fourth Wednesday of each month starting at 8:00 a.m. while supplies last.
As of February 1st 2023, we will no longer be offering Pet Food by request and will be converting to this in-person giveaway available to all.

PLEASE NOTE: We cannot provide food for feral cat colonies or community cats.
