Home for the Holidays
This holiday season, we want to place long-term resident shelter dogs into foster homes for the holidays. The holidays are about spending time with those you love and spreading joy throughout your community. No one wants to spend the holidays alone, shelter pets included.
We have nearly 100 dogs that have been in their care for 50 days or more, and we want to bring holiday joy to these long-term shelter residents by getting them into foster homes. Our goal for their “Home for the Holidays” campaign is to find foster homes for at least 50 dogs that have been at the shelter for more than 50 days starting November 29.
The only requirement for participation is to complete our online foster application and orientation. Once that is completed you will schedule an on-boarding appointment with our Foster Program Manager so that you can select which long-term shelter resident will fit best in your home, for the holidays!
Fosters will be asked to schedule an appointment with our Foster Program Manager to bring the dog back to the shelter the week of January 2nd. Fosters will be more than welcome to continue fostering past that time if they wish, and if they ultimately decide to adopt their foster dog they can do so and their adoption fee will be waived.
